Yamaha Chrome cleaning or ???
Have a few spots on some chrome pieces that have blemishes I assume in to the finish. Tried cleaning and polishing, but they still remain. Is it possible for them to be redone or is it just easy to replace? If so, would like to replace the mirrors and side pieces by the seat front. Any ideas?

Those side pieces seem to be about $80 bucks each...

I would maybe try to paint them black or plasti-dip them if you like that look. Otherwise I personally would just leave it alone. Seems kinda pricey to replace such a small part.
And the mirrors look to be $190 each ...OUCH

My chrome pieces had the same thing. I painted them black and the first time it bumped the dock it scratched off. Useless waist of time. Either buy new ones or paint and expect it to come off. Maybe they could be wrapped with vinyl?

They can be painted and it will not come off if prepped correctly. Have you tried to polish using some toothpaste or some of the buffing compound for cleaning headlamp lenses? This might get the etching to not be as noticable.
