Circuit Racing tips for a beginner

Ok I think the time has come to swap the ocean riding for a little circuit racing. I was at a race meeting over the weekend purely helping out and being a nuisance and thought I would like to get involved and see how I go against the boys. Here in Australia we tend to jump on our skis and start heading towards Hawaii until we realise we just might not have enough fuel so we head back and ride the flat river waters until the wind picks up and the ripples surface and then all hell breaks loose. The yammie guys are deploying emergency flares and setting off EPRIBS whilst the seadoo ladies tie up their skis forming a semi floating raft and then begin to blow their distress whistles. I THINK ITS TIME. I know many of you circuit race, so any tips regarding trim positioning on the 300 while cornering or anything that might help a novice racer would be most welcome.

    Thanks in advance. Jim

Hey Jim, Paolo only won the race because there were no 300x's in it. He raced against a couple of stock 260x's. That's like us racing a couple of Yamaha SHO's, it's just not a fair race.

Oh, and he is only going Open Class, if we race, because he would be shattered if he lost to us.

Ah Malcolm, you are sooooo funny!! Jim, because the exhaust is not stock class legal, you really should be running in open class too!

Nar, just like in car racing, as long as all your mods are painted black, it looks stock, so must be stock! Haha Your Exhaust is not stock because the pipes are shiny chrome, just paint them black and you'll be fine.
