    Help with engine mount bolts

So today I finally found time to work on the ski and had planned on removing the mid shaft today. After removing the Stinger and 6 bolts from the engine mounts I was completely stumped on removing the one bolt from the front right engine mount. The socket would not fit on on the bolt under the mount. After giving up on that I decided to replace all six bolts and remove just the 4 bolts holding the engine to the mounts. This time got stuck on the same damn front right mount . I can not for the life of me get this bolt to break loose and I don't want to break the bolt as I heard these ones are prone to breaking.

I have cranked on it so hard you can see the socket twist with the 2 ft extension, Me and my dad heard a crack as if the lock tight let go but it still won't budge. I did manage turn it about a quarter turn it looks like judging by the blue factory mark on the bolt. Any ideas? At this point it seems I have two options. Either find a different swivel extension so I can remove the mount bolt or just give that one bolt hell till I get lucky or I break it. I rather not try attempt the later as I'm trying to avoid pulling the engine. What kind of swivel socket extensions is everyone using for that front right mount?

Here's my 2 cents worth - go slow and maybe use a breaker bar for levarage And if it were me getting stuck taking a bolt out, I'd rather break a bolt in a motor mount (one of the 4, just have to just replace the offending motor mount) than a bolt that's holding the mount to the hull (drill, use an easy out, maybe it comes out, maybe not, if not then troubles)

I use a boxed end 12mm to loosen it then a ratchet wrench to pull it the rest of the way. If the bolt moved any when you were on it earlier try spraying it with a good penetrating oil ant tighten and loosen it till it frees up. If I'd doesn't then turn it out till it breaks.

All of the bolts holding the mount to the hull are all good, I just can't get my socket in there to get that one bolt out as it is partially hidden under the bracket. I guess tomorrow I'll just crank on the bolt holding the motor to the mount and hope for the best. I did hit it with some PB blaster so hopefully it sitting overnight will help me some tomorrow.

    Thanks for the reply's guys.

Yikes - I wouldn't DARE do that in a pwc engine compartment. And its the right front bolt too, which is oh, about 1.5 feet from 10-15 gallons of gasoline.....

    Just my humble opinion.

come on man really. not a big issue to put a benz o matic of the bolt. just think of the heat some of our h.o. motors put into the ski out on a 100 degree summer day. id heat it up and should come out no problem then with a breaker bar as long as you can get into the area. maybe im crazy
