Support ring question
Got some parts from Jerry today.
Noticed on the support ring that it has a small nick which is quite rough when held against the carbon seal.
Thinking it may cause a failure or premature wear.
What do you think (photo attached)
Sent jerry an email but will be a while before i get a response due to timezones.

IMO it will be fine, the carbon seal only makes contact with the face of the support ring around the centre.

I would take some 500-600 grit wet sandpaper to it and smooth it down if you are worried,
make sure you do it perfectly flat, no high spots

Jerry seems to think it will be ok, going to give it ago. Whats the worst that can happen
Carbon ring gets surprisingly close to the edge of the support ring, only a mm or 2 to spare.
