    GP1300r Intake Grate

Is this a R&D intake grate. It came with my ski when i bought it from the previous owner... I heard there prone to cracking/breaking after doing some searching around here. Should i be worried? Any sugguestions on better grates? Thanks.

Alot of guys upsize the front bolts and use an aluminum plate in the hull to bolt to. There are kits available, but I made my own from 3" x 4" x 1/2" aluminum plate, 8mm bolts and nuts, and 5200. Some of the grates cracking has been tracked to the stock 6 mm front bolts breaking or coming loose, allowing the grate to pull down at speed.

Thanks. I thought about doing something like that. So basically just drill out the front holes alittle bigger.. Put some bolts in and seal the holes around it?
