Kinda looks like it was "blown up". Gotta look for hull damage.

well NADA was even less @ $910. Perhaps slightly higher on the east coast market
    .
polaris book values took a huge thor to the nuts last year.

The problem for many would be that in the event of a loss of some type, nobody is going to want to hear that you paid $3800 and are looking for that value as a replacment ( say some wacko tags your trailer in the parking lot of denny's)

paying over the book value may be good if you _really_ want something, but I advise folks against it as _certain_ Polaris parts are now at the point of being impossible to find at a reasonable price, due to speculation by some folks who know a good deal when they see it.

Saw one on Judge Judy this week...a ar with a book of @2500 claiming a paint job of $4500 as teh car was pruhcased for $4200 the previous year and was in mint condiiton ( for a tarus!)

The judge laughed as she does and awarded her $1200 for paint ( which I though was adarn good seeing what you can get for $1200 with minimal bodywork ( it was a key job)

"he crashed into my ski your honor, I have several estimates of $2500 from all the local dealers to repair it"
"Ok rusty..whatr's the book value on that boat"
    "Uh.... 950 judge"
Plaintiff awarded $950, ski and title goes to the defendant in exchange for the payment so ordered

Thats why it might make sense to insure it for an agreed upon value. I plan to do that with mine this year, since I have a few Polaris skis that are in near mint condition.

I had a customer get I think $2500 for his MSX140 because it flooded. You can negotiate with insurance companies believe it or not. You just need proof that people are paying that much. $2500 is still on the cheap side especially since this ski was spotless with minimal hours

I had the 2003 MSX140 that I just sold to Byan insured for $5000. That was with the trailer though. State Farm had no problem at all with that either. They didnt ask to see the title for purchase price or anything. As long as I was paying the premium they didnt care.
