Why not just have your stock domes cut? Around $120 to have done and you can get the exact squish clearance you want for each cylinder.

All you have to do is check your squish prior to shipping them out, and mark each head for that cyl it was tested with.

yeah that works to if you have 1050 domes to open up but i like the billet ones alittle better and i think i can get them for 150.00 a set

and if your using 1200 domes already and shaving them down they may be to low to seal on the headcover oring i've seen that on a few guys tried to cut and shave and you also thin them out to much and they tend to crack especially with higher compression that why they made them out of billet

Thats a pretty good price too. Getting stock ones cut costs at least that much.

to do stock 1200's i would think you need to shave them down and then cut them open ,thats why most guys start with 1050 domes and open them up as i said before they get thin and crack

yep same with the factory race domes but hell it's better to redo your stock ones LOL ,go ahead i'll get billett ones built for me i don't mind spending alittle more to get it done right, i might even get them made as blanks and have them cut to what i need just depends because most of my 1200's are 85 mm anyways
