    Flame arrestor's vs R&D power plenum

    Which is better? Going on a 01 gp1200r.

    Are the three sperate flame arrestors better or the other way around than the power plenum

    What he said. Most of the restriction comes from all of the intake tubing leading up to the air box. You can also run a gutted air box with a flame arrestor attached to the front of it also for about 80 bucks. This set up suited me better because I wanted to keep water out of my motor because I ride mine in the ocean/waves. I didn't like the idea of open arrestors if there was going to be water sloshing around the inside of my hull.

    x2 Thats what I am doing to my 1300 next weekend hopefully. Just gut the box (I believe theres metal screens in there) and slap a FA on the front where the air intake tubing used to be and youll be fine.
