$25 Bore Scope!!!
I know how much "checking wash" is preached around here, and that some of you have invested in the long inspection cameras, but those are pretty pricey. I just stumbled across this USB run camera with LED lights. It's intended for water line inspection, but I'd imagine it would work pretty well for our application as well. Sorry I haven't tested it or anything, but just figured I'd pass along the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/7M-4-Led-USB...tem257011e797#

I have one and it works great. The only thing I would add is a stiff wire to the end to help hold the position.

Awesome to hear! I'll be buying one once we get closer to summer.

Is it a fixed focus or can the focus be adjusted or is in not needed while inspecting the cylinder and piston heads?

I know this is old but I didn't see anybody posting pics. I have one that's call a Giraffe, its basically a regular one that they use heat shrink tube to hold a soft aluminum wire to the camera head and wire so you can bend and feed it. I originally got it when I had to drill some holes and run some CAT5 in a wall. Just got a SBT short block installed and will be using it to check wash. Here are my starting base line pics, there is lots of reflection since everything is new.
