Motec diy m130 harness upgrade
Got this done with the help of evan and nils thanks a ton guys! Figured i would post a how too as it was fairly simple. Evan was nervous about doing it but i calmed him down.
-first i made a printout of the large and small connectors. Put a checkmark by all the ones already in use.
-if you look at the back of the connector the pins are numbered. Transfer these numbers to your sheets
-push up on small white piece on the bottom of the connector. There are two of them on the top side they will come up when you do. This allows you to insert new wires and pins.
-dont worry about existing wires falling out when you do this there are locked in there either way.
-nills made me up pins with 2 feet of wire attached too each. Pop up the small rubber plugs with a small screwdriver
-do one row at a time. Put the color of the wire u are inserting into each hole on your sheet
-push each pin all the way in you will feel them click when they seat
-after you do a row of them go back and mark each wire with location. Example connectors are "a" and "b" i called them large and small. So if i put a wire in the small connector in number 6 hole i
called it "s6"
-take your time going row by row labeling as you go
-once you are done with a connector look at it from the front make sure all pins are pushed in. Push down on the two white tabs this time. They will click back locking pins into place.
-clean up the loom and gather all new wire in one spot
-i filled all the open pins even though i wont need them. But now its easy say i want to moniter egt on cylinder 1 i would connect the egt sensor to an open wire, note the wire number and open up
egt section of motec and tell it what pin its on. Easy easy!!
-use connectors you can pull apart here so if you ever need too remove harness you can. Refer to you sheet when hooking up to confirm wire color. Im gonn try and find a male/female 20pin
connector just like motec uses so i can make assemble/ dissassemble easy. nils can make you up the wire if ya need them!
