    afr gauge acting up?

Took the ski out to do some test runs and everything worked fine for about 10 minutes, then the afr gauge went dark,
Jiggled the wires under the dash and it came back on, with a E-9 code, put ski back on trailer and noticed that were the ground and hot wire were tapped into the harness they looked a little loose,

re-did the connections, took out the sensor, did a free air calibration, and put it all back together, back in the water, after it heats up the gauge reads 22.4 only,
then after a while read 7.9,

    obviously something is not right,
did a few laps, and starts but, did not want to chance it,

    Any ideas?
    bad sensor?

I saw fellow members using the Bosch 17014 sensor for a replacement, looks to be a little cheaper than from Innovate,
I guess in the exhaust stream without the power one it fried it,

    that is a good deal,
Is that a swivel in the middle of the wire?
I noticed that in mine from innovate, and I called them and asked if that was a swivel for taking them on and off and they said no, there was no swivel on the wire,
I just bought one for $39.50 with tax and I will pick it up tomorrow by my work,
