Advice on riva exhaust and cooling kit please

    Hi All,

I have been speaking with RIVA about their cooling kit and free flow exhaust. It all sounds good however I want to hear from anyone who has used these two parts in their FX SHO or other ski and what you have found having these on. Do they give you better performance as Riva suggests.

Appreciate any comments you can provide.

    Thanks

There should be a ton of threads about those products on here. As far as I know both work very well and am looking into doing them this spring myself. If you plan on going thru hull exhaust theres a few that mentioned it was too loud for their liking. But I'm assuming you're talking about the free flow only.

    Enjoy

Free flow has an annoying drone. If you're gonna get an exhaust and don't mind drilling a hole in the ski get the rear exhaust.

Thanks guys. I dont want to get the external because I will void my warranty.

If it gives me better performance im happy to deal with the drone.

Can people let me know if they have the drone and whether they have better performance from these two items.

    Many thanks

What cooling kit? The powercooler or engine cooler? On a stock ski, IMO these arnt going not help you much with the stock ECU. I have the ff exhaust on my FZR, a little drone but nothing bad.

If the ski is stock and you want to get more performance without breaking th bank: manifold upgrade, rideplate, air intake, and exhaust. (Not sure which rideplates are available for the 2012 model)

exhaust and cooling kit on a stock ski = 0mph gain
    intake,bov,ribbon,prop,good plate = 4mph easy

then you can think about the little stuff

+1 you get a little gain with the exhaust though. I found the throttle to be a little more crispier and just a tad more acceleration.

THANK YOU.. I have done Riva air filter, Ribbon, intercooler spacer and have found mid range provides more kick. Nothing bottom or top end. I now have cavitation.

SO doing a ride plate with Jims performance.

Im getting mixed opinions on prop, some say do it, some say dont do it as it will give you slower bottom and top end. Riva says Solas 13/22r, Others say SKAT 13/23, im confused.

I have stock motor other than the mods mentioned above. Being new, I want cosmetic stuff so my warranty isnt affected.

Waterholic, when you say intake, you meen intake grate?

Mike, Engine cooler is what Riva was explaining to me. Will this make a difference or a waste of money?

BOV, again, will this make a difference to a stock motor or a waste of money?

    Thanks all.

Repitch your stock prop to 12 or 13/22...... GET A BOV it will prolong clutch life
