    so the visibity spout?

Springs getting closer and I can't wait much longer to get back on the water. I have been reading countless threads on removing the rooster tail spout since last summer tubing wasn't much fun due to the spray in the face. I think I'm going to go with the ball valve but I am curious, where is the water that was coming out redirected ?

Thanks guys, in my head I'm seeing pressure being built up and nowhere to go but my engine. I'm a bit paranoid lol. I love my ski!

Have had mine turned off with an inline ball valve for 65+ hours no problem. Just make sure you use some kind of high pressure rated hose for piece of mind.

Here's a pic of my Spray Tap.

It works really well. Its a $3 high pressure irrigation tap from a hardware store. Just cut a piece out of the original hose and clamp it in place.

I heard stories about the original hose splitting under the pressure of having a tap on it, but mine is perfectly fine after many hours of WOT.

Just reach under & turn off or on as needed.

Wazza the earlier skis used rubber hose, they split, yamaha changed to a braided hose of which now works fine, btw that tap isnt high pressure its off a low pressure drip system that is quiet adequate for the job, its what i use, they are priced around $1

    Thanx Big C.

My hose is definitely braided, so I guess there's no worries.
I got that particular tap at Bunnings and it wasn't listed at low pressure. There were other taps that were labelled as low pressure, definitely had thinner casing & overall design. It was $3 from memory.
Anyways mate, who cares..... as long as it works and I have the option of off/on.

Why do you need a tap on your Kawi? They dont have a spray (or do they??)
