Yes! Less glue was used during the build process. There were a few versions and the really light ones delaminated so be careful.

    Welcome Garstar..

Yes, there was and it was considered legal for racing. But generally there was no title.

However, they weigh the same or more than if you bought a 2004-2007 GPR hull.

There was some Carbon Fiber hulls too... they were lighter still.

Theres a bad azz gp carbon fiber 99 hull on E-bay,I'm in the middle of my dead time and in the hole about 2-k or I would buy it.Damn its only 1hr.from my house, that really hurts. If any one on the forum wants it, I would be happy to pick it up and hold it till shipping or some kind of relay could be worked out amongst other forum members It would be hard though But I'd do it

It's a little more than less glue. They weigh around 100lb lighter than a new hull. They will not pass the new weight restrictions though. Thats why I don't run my two. There was around 20 produced. Most have been destroyed. The ones that delaminated were the four that were produced for specific riders at world finals a couple years back. None of those particular hulls lasted more than a couple races.

Can you tell us a little more about what to look for to identify a race hull?

Weight is the best way to tell. Most that are still out there have been so well disguised that they can be hard to identify. They did not come with a Hull Id although some have taken the ID off another salvage hull to cover these to which we are referring.
