    1995 sl750 no power

Looking at buying a jet ski for the first time and he says it only goes maybe 5mph. He said he he took it to a garage and they told him the stator is the only thing they think would be wrong. Says it runs good just wont go fast. I havent looked at it yet either. What other possibilities could it be and prices? Thanks

The entire fuel system needs to be gone through. Carbs cleaned/rebuilt, new filters, etc. Thats the first thing to check out. Check compression on the motor, it could be weak. Doesn't sound like a very good shop to me.

I wont be able to look at it for a couple weeks. Im looking at getting it for $350-400. Seems like a decent price. Comes with a trailer too. Plus Im meeting him half way and dont want to pass it up after he drives all that way and piss him off.

What should the compression be on it?

Finally got the ski home. He said he had the carbs and fuel system gone through. I just put inside to get it warmed up to start working on it and get it started. Theres only 1 place here that works on jet skis. Really sucks!!!

I got it running but I need the flush line to get water in it. I took the plug out to get the size but I dropped it under the motor and cant get it out. Damn it. What size is it? Also I have a couple vacuum hoses hanging down in front of the motor. What are they?

Those are rather dirty check valves, which provide air INTO the fuel tank and the oil tank. Might want to clean them up

It is normal for these to only be connected to one hose.

Are you asking about the thread size for the water manifold reverse flush fitting?
