Anyone got an 06+ head off at the moment? Oil way question
On the end of the head, by the main oil way, there is a 4 or 5mm Allen bolt that can be removed to check oil pressure.
I am thinking of removing this Allen bolt and using this location for a oil temp sensor.
My question is would the sensor block the oil flow to the head from the block?
From memory, it won't. This is a small separate oil galley that is 90 degrees off from the main oil way (if that makes sense).
Any pictures anyone has of this area with the head off, please post them for me to see.

Thanks Guys, I thought it would be good to go.
2nd Question.....The other day on here I saw a thread where a picture was shown of installing a second water temp sensor on the head, to the right of the original one. Cant find it now, any clues?

You can tee into the stock location or just use a ring style thermocouple under the stock sensor.

Would the readings be good and accurate by doing it like this as doing it this way puts the sensors probe(s) out of the water flow path and like in a dead end with no water flow?
