    Depth finder minimum depth reading

    I am considering a SeaDoo 295100421 depth finder for my 2013 RXT-X aS 260.

What is the minimum depth (in feet) that it can display and what is the resolution (feet, 1/10 of a foot...)?

The lowest I have seen mine read is 2ft.
It also only shows whole feet.

I have a depth finder for my 2012 RXP-X but have yet to install as there is still plenty of snow on the ground here in Iowa.... Is it easy to install and about how long did it take?

Very easy. Took me about 1hr. Hardest part is running the wires and plugging them into the fuse box.

How did you "marry" the depth finder to the dash cluster?

Just plug in your key. No need for BUDS or anything like that.

Good deal thanks! The "marrying" i was a little worried about really is a pricey unit itself and didn't want to pay to get it programmed.

Was it worth getting? IMO seems like a good idea to ensure you keep in deep enough water in unfamiliar water. Something I always wanted on my 04 RXP.

I have read that it requires "activation" with BUDS... Maybe that applies to other models of the depth finder on older skiis? Like you, I'm glad it doesn't require that hassle/expense.

My 2008 needed to be activated. Pretty sure all Icontrol ski's do not.
I think it is worth it.

That sounds very possible. Good to hear!
