It has to be a rare day when the water is that flat.
That was about 10 miles away from shore on Lake Ontario. Hazy day, so could not see land in any direction.
Did you get that seat cover made for the MSX or did it come with the ski? I like that style, I prefer it to the hydroturf or blacktip pattern. Can you share the source?

Jet Trim made it for me. It's done in the medium slip material.

I'm pretty sure they would do it if they had the seat. You would have to send it to them though I plan on doing mine, but probably not until next winter.

Sending a seat from Australia would cost around $400 return so it wouldn't be economical. I could get anything made here with a good upholsterer I suppose. I don't know why they need the seat, hydroturf does them based on a standard pattern but I don't like the way they look.

Whenever I send mine in I will have them make a second cover to send to you

My understanding was that in the early days Jet Trim did create and ship custom seat covers based on their MSX seat cover 'pattern'. Apparently there was enough variations in production MSX seats that Jet Trim customers were having fitment issues.

By sending the entire seat to Jet Trim they can compensate for these variations plus tight tolerances and provide a seat cover that fits really well.

Have you guys installed your own seat covers?

I have the BlackTip cover for my MSX seat (admittedly not as nice as the Jet Trim one you guys are talking about)... and will be installing it soon.

I've heard it's best to leave the stock cover in place and just go over it... true? Do you use any adhesive between them? Do you do anything to the cracks in the original cover first (mine are at least flush w/ seat)? What kind of staples did you use? I have an air staple gun... think it takes 1/4" crown staples... so 1/2" long?

    Cheers!
