    Do you have a secure mounting for that GPS, where you can see it while riding?

    Happily the MFI display on my Virage TXi has a magnetic compass, which comes in handy when there are zero landmarks. MSX display does not have a compass

    The MFD on the X45 has a compass. I was just planning on keeping the GPS handheld for now. Im not excited about the prospect of drilling holes to mount it.

    Well, perhaps you could fabricate a metal mounting bracket that would attach to existing fasteners or bolt locations.

    Some of the offshore guys have come up with interesting methods. I recall one that created a hard foam wedge that he taped to the hood, with the GPS strapped to the foam.
