Handle repair slx / best method to strap on trailer
well it looks like the previous owner used the rear handle to ratchet strap the ski to the trailer or for pulling toys. There is a 3 inch crack through the l/h front bolt hole so i took the handle off to carry out a repair to the fibre glass. Upon doing so I found out that a rear most bolt had been sheared off. So the handle is hollow and the captive nut is part of the molding. Not tried to drill and tap it yet but judging it there is very little meat left to do so. So figured i would end up boring a 30mm hole on the inner face and bonding a repair nut and washer in place. So next question is how to best strap it sown on the trailer. There are no ski hooks fited, just has a single hole front on rear through the fibreglass. Are these man enough for the job or will it crack the craft using these ?

I cant see it being cheap with overseas shipping to the UK. Parts availabilty over here is terrible as they were not as popular as the US so you dont see many being broken up for spares. This is the best forum by a long way for info and knowledge though so perhaps a sticky sub topic for uk / euro used parts and a UK member's group for aranging meets/rides.

I have run a strap through the hole to tie mine down to the trailer. You just have to thread the strap through the hole before threading it through your ratchet strap.

ok thanks for that, Just needed to make sure they were strong enough to take downward force.
