    Power Valve Clearance 800XL

Does anyone know what's the correct clearance between the power valve and piston rings?

I have a 2000 800XL with steel sleeved cylinders and had them bored to 1.00mm over standard. A note came with the piston kit saying to take .015" off the power valve for anything bored more than .500mm.

As of now one cylinder has .020" clearance and the other zero.

    Thanks,
    Will

I was thinking it was in that range. I ground mine on my 1390 to a little over 40t.

Thanks so much WFO. Tried several other power valves and now have .020" clearance on both cylinders.
