Who makes it? Can you list the cranking amps of the battery you own or reccomend?

    Odessey

I just bought the Odessey PC625 for $80. 625 cranking amps
    http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc625.htm

Put it in my SeaDoo and it really seem to turn it over well.

This has that AGM technology (absorbed glass mat) that is
sealed and can be in any orientation. Supposedly mil spec

The battery that I run in my GPR's is an AGM battery from NAPA. It is rated at 18 amp/hr capacity at 10 amps, 290 cranking amps. I have NEVER had to charge these batteries except for the initial charge. I have a solar powered battery MAINTAINER that is wired into my garage that I hook mt skis up to every time I get home. The project ski that I am working on will be total loss so I will see how well the battery holds up on it.

I forget exactly witch one I have, but Deka is what is used in most commercial diesel applications. The local auto parts store had it in stock. After the horror stories that I've read about the oddesies, I decided to stay away from them. I have these in 2 of my ski's and have never charged them.

These are agm sealed and have held their charge longer than odyssey for me.
I have used them for years now.
My odyssey is good, but drains its charge twice as fast as this battery.

Have a new one in the box under my bench for a over year now, and it still has 12.78 volts after one year of setting in a hot garage.
The odyssey only goes 6 months till it needs a charge.

I'll start checking these out, I'm just so sick of using my battery box on this thing.
I'm running a trickle charger as well but the Yuasa just doesn't seem to hold the charge from day to day and it's only 5 months old. In the Matrix it's a mother to change the battery so I really want something I can toss in and not service other than charging.
When it backfired this weekend it blew a coupler hose and stretched the spings on the rear pipe beyond recognition. LOL My ears are still friggin ringing.

Hey Al, I realize this is an old thread, but what battery did you decide on? Are you happy with it? Need a new one for my SL900.

Turk, I went crazy big and modified my battery tray to accept a HUGE Interstate deep cycle battery.
