    pro block-offs

    Has anybody seen a set of pro block-off thats been machined from a cnc without any welded parts?I'm going to try and get this done and hopfully with in the next week.

    Why would you want this? I cant think of any benefits. Has anyone had failure of the welds? How big of a block of aluminum would it take. Maybe having them cast would be a better option. Initial cost would be crazy though.

    I work at a machine shop with alot of cut offs and tons of stock,why not.

    Well if you got all that extra stock and that much free time, fab up a couple of prototypes and I'll help you test them, I'll even cover shipping.

    why not make a copy of the RE ones? I'd test them too.

    I have the aluminum to make the welded pro block-off but if it was machined it would be a very clean looking part.

    there is no need to test a "copy off the RE's", they have proven to be the best

    yeah....lets not rip off designs here gentlemen. if you want to make your own, then fine, but don't be carless enough to openly talk of ripping off one of the sites supporting vendors.

    they spend plenty on R&D just to have people copy what they've already done. save money where you can, just don't take it out of others pockets
