took the RXT 215 out today for the first time...... I have questions.
Ok, I went out on the ski today for the first time since buying it a few weeks ago..
it's a 2007 RXT 215
the air temp was around 58 degrees and the water temp was probably in the low 40's
running full throttle I was only able to hit 7300 rpm's (showing 62 mph on the speedo), the supercharger was just rebuilt by Jerry.
stock impeller and wear ring (I have an R&D aquavein intake grate, SS wear ring and a Solas 14/17R impeller in my garage)
my question is, should I be seeing more RPM's with everything stock?

yes, the rpm's seem a little low,
how many hours on the ski?
how do the spark plugs look? on the trailer not running, check and see if the throttle cable is pulling the throttle body wide open?

105 hrs, new plugs, throttle cable is pulling the blade wide open (checked it yesterday) ... Stock prop and wear ring.

Sounds like a boost leak, air inlet restriction, oil over filled, spark plugs, bad gas, prop nose cone slid up the shaft, or prop blades damaged/ bent

Hmmmm............ ok... I'll check the oil level tomorrow... how much RPM gain should I see with the proper oil level?
shouldn't be a boost leak, I just re-installed everything from the SC rebuild and made sure all hoses went on correctly..
Gas could be questionable... tank was full when I bought it, not sure, but It was more than likely from the end of last season.
I'll check the prop nose cone, the blades and stock wear ring didn't look too bad but I'll probably just install the new Solas prop and SS wear ring and be done with it.
Thanks for all the suggestions!

My ski was low hours when I bought it, and it was stored indoors, but from sitting for a season this is what my fuel pump and fuel filters looked like,
I was loosing rpms and I was getting lean up top, I actually raced 1/2 a season with it like this,

Run that old fuel out or pump it then change your spark plugs.
Run a double dose of Injector cleaner with a full tank of premium fuel then hit it again.
Also if you were doing 62 on the dream meter then you were only running @ 55 mph on gps.
You should be 63-67 gps.
Yes those dream meters are that far off

I bought CanDoo and found out my throttle cable needed to be adjusted.. was only getting a reading of 76 at full throttle.
adjusted the cable and now I'm seeing 83.1 at full throttle.
so, between the throttle cable adjustment, fresh fuel, Solas impeller, R&D intake grate and now I installed VTS.. I think this thing should get up and move!

Should be over 8k rpm and @ 65 mph on gps.
Dream meter will probably say 70mph.
