    TX Hull full of Water

Installed new Solas SRZ 15/20 on my 2010 TX. Made 4-5 test runs. 84 MPH / 85MM nozzle. Started back to the ramp and ski revs but not much thrust. Massive cavitation. Managed to take off slow and make it back. Tested at the ramp same problem. Looked inside hull and full of water.... Carbon Seal?????? I have the new/old style drive shaft with c-clip. Never had any issues with my SRX props which were machined by Eric at SFR. Any advise greatly appreciated...

Pump bolts are tight. Only change I made was the new SRZ prop. Change the drive shaft to the c-clip style a while back. Using a SRZ prop would not have anything to do with it would it?

Steve, Jerry posted a thread a few months ago about certain SRZs that would cause the drive shaft to move forward and break the carbon ring seal. I thought it was for 2012 models only, I don't remember the specifics....

It could simply be a coincidence with the new SRZ, and could be one of your "sprinkler system PRV" fittings.

Did your auto bilge pump kick in?

Here is the thread I was referring to http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=178656

I don't think it applies to your 2010.

I also use the old SRX with SFR mods and use a new SRZ interchangeable with no issues.

Check all your thru hull fittings first, then make sure nothing is interfering with the bellows, like your kana flex hose!

Checked all hoses including the PRV's. None are the cause. Pulled the pump and the prop was not loose.

Noticed the driveshaft has lot of movement up and down and side to side. Normally when I pull the pump it will sit semi center but it has lots of slop, so..... Carbon Seal I'm guessing..

What would cause this. New prop?
