Question about smoke coming out catch can breather?
I was doing some runs today testing the new afr gauge and some new injectors with a flashed ECU,
first couple of runs it was good idle and rich up top 10.4 10.9's
the pattern I saw was when the boost would start the afrs would get rich,
I disconnected the reference line on the RRFPR and that seemed to work pretty good,
a little lean at idle at 13.0 but as soon as I give it throttle it goes to 11.5-12.5 range,
I had some pretty decent runs 8800 and 8900 rps at 78mph with the et-137 wheel,
then I would adjust the fuel pressure a little bit to get it dialed in better,
and when I slid the seat back I noticed some smoke in the engine compartment,
I rode a little bit with the seat pushed back and I noticed that smoke was coming out of the catch can breather?
it doesn't do it at half throttle, but as soon as I get to 7000-8000 rpms a little smoke starts to come out the breather again?
I had recently done a oil change, and it looked a little below the line, so I added a 1/2 quart, now it seems too full,

Is it smoke or vapors? There's a difference, if its vapors its fine, but if your smoking thats trouble.

Ive seen this many times. Usually just condensation or fuel vapors evaporating out of the catch can. Is the catch can filling up with anything?

Also your running Rich Thats alot of Unburned Gases recirculating. Start Leaning her Out

I noticed that the oil level is about 1/2 inch over the top line,
I am going to do a compression test first, then do a leak test to see if one of the rings went bad,
after some running the catch can has about 1/2 oz of fluid,

Does your oil smell like fuel? running rich will cause this and wash the cylinders from lube.

AW thinks the rings are toast, and to do the pressure test,
he said to take the oil from the dipstick and put it on a piece of paper and see if it lights with a lighter, it it lights there is fuel in the oil, and the rings are bad, I did that and no fuel in the oil,

Oil does not rise on the dipstick without adding fluid.
