    Portable fuel tank(s)

I am taking a trip this summer on my jet ski and I have one section where I will travel about 250 miles between fuel stops. Can anyone recommend a good portable fuel tank(s)?

You may be looking for something more substantial, but I've used this rack to carry extra fuel (and gear) w/much success: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=117108

BTW, I'd really be interested in hearing about your trip.

This link shows a system that has extended my range to 150 miles. It is rough water rock solid riding to Bimini and back and we are ready to run to Grand Bahama island in May. Most of us doing that ride have duplicated the bracketing part of it. Some are using the pump as shown and others are doing a draw from the natural vacuum created. Yet others are plumbing the fuel through to a valve that uses the skis OEM fuel pump to draw from either the aux tank or the main tank. If you have any questions shoot me a PM. Good luck.

Steve Friebe makes a nice tank for the pre-2012 FX's.

An extra 7 gal isn't gonna get you 250 miles though. That's a pretty tall order. I think you'd need to be able to carry at least an extra 25 gal to get that kind of range. Here's another idea...maybe try contacting these guys to find out where they get the big gear/fuel racks they're using for this race.

Your right, 7 gallons will not be enough. I'm looking at another 15-20 gallons. I already have a rack built. I'm trying to decide between multiple 5 gallon tanks or something like Jetski junkies had a link to which is listed above. In times past I have carried a couple of extra 5 gallon tanks but this trip will be a total of 1,300 miles with a strech between 200-250 miles with no fuel stop.

You can do the JJ setup with a larger tank easily. I recently modified mine to mount a spearshaft upright. It also seconds as a flagstaff (quarantine and host country flags). Here is a link to new pics. What you see is the spearshaft with Hawaiian sling but it also holds a full size speargun. http://www.facebook.com/vcobelo/post...6?notif_t=like

I need to be able to refuel on the run and in heavy seas. Cannot open the forward compartment and hold a 5 gallon can over a open compartment and open gas cap in a 2' chop.

You have the best auxiliary fueling system I have seen by far.
