I Almost Puked!
I finally got a chance to look at a new 300LX today. Our dealers haven't been able to keep the 300s in stock since they were introduced, the last new 'Ski I saw was an Ultra 250 when they first came out.
It was so big and heavy and gaudy, I thought I was going to throw up on it. Doesn't Kawasaki make a simple, high performance JetSki anymore?
I'm 60 years old and I don't need a boarding step, thank you. I don't need or want reverse, either. Or cruise control, or power-off steering, or a learning key (or whatever they call it), or most of the crap they put on that barge.
Is there a market for a plain, simple, FAST, and AFFORDABLE JetSki? Perhaps I'm the only one...

The elderly should really refrain from smoking pot in these modern days! Cmon man, you will love the 300's aircon trigger!

Haha! That and the 32" flat screen are the most requested options. Parking assist is now standard.

well I kinda like the 300x, but i couldnt see myself using cruise control.. im pretty sure the new stx 15f is pretty basic with no gadgets. as far as speed i think it goes lower-mid 60's

I've got a 32" screen (on my computer anyway). Park assist? Now THAT might come in handy!

LoL, but regardless of any features or size, the 300 is a beautiful machine.

I really felt the same way with my Ultra-150 - that is "until" I went on a test ride.
You will be impressed by the Engineering that has been incorporated into these new machines.
You grab a handful of throttle on the 300x and the 1200cc 3-Cylinder 2-Stroke certainly won't stand a chance, ask me how I know
I remember reading that last summer your "watering hole" was almost all dried-up from the dryness of your summer, hence I must assume that you ride on a small lake - which is where the Ultra-150 is certainly suited. Each summer, when I would go out in the Gulf of Mexico riding with my 3-Seater Buddies - I would spend more time "un-hooked" and in the air and even though my ski was substantially faster, I could never keep up, and I got the shit beat out of me trying.
The 300x is certainly suited for the BIG Waterways - where I enjoy riding.
Heck, you only live once - if your garage is big enough, keep the Ultra-150. I was kinda sad that I separated myself from my Ultra-150, yet after moving to the 300x, I never looked back.
Good Luck !!!
