Do you think will this need rebuilding or should i just tidy it up?

That depends on the clearance to the wear ring.

Rather than having 4 separate posts for your jet pump questions, they could all be contained in one thread. Easier to maintain and it does not clutter the forums.

It all depends on what the clearance to the wear ring is. If its more than .010 I would get that prop refurbed. If the clearance is good, then just smooth out the damage on the leading edges

IMO that wheel is done. I'm guessing it would cost you plenty to have it refurbished. I'd just check around and find a nice used one (or new pop up at times) off ebay or the like for not much more. But in your location, I don't know how available they are.

Whats the stator vein unit look like?

Dont even go there lol its had a hard life. Its not to bad so I was going to set it up in the milling machine and take the leading vane edges down 6mm so they are all nice and even. Be quoted £50 to re-furb the impellor. I take it they need the wear ring to go with it ? I,ll post a pic

Not sure what taking the leading edges down will do, might impact hookup and maybe increase cavitation.

It all depends on your intentions for the end-product on this machine and your comfort level with having items maybe not 'perfect'.

That said, I understand - it sounds like your access to parts might be limited, and youre dealing with a 15+ year old machine and a manufacturer that isn't providing much (if any) support anymore.

I don't know how much you put into this ski but it seems to be rather chewed up and with parts being hard to find....would it be cheaper to buy a ski in nicer condition? I have sone of the parts you need but I have nob idea what it would cost to ship.

If you check eBay - those impellers can be had for cheap - $75 or less, I wouldn't mess with it....although, I agree with Bryan - if clearance is good, then just clean up the damage (I wouldn't cut it all down)

I am into it by £378 at the moment. These go for between 600 - 900 over here but saying that you still dont know what your buying into and you will still have give it a good going over to find out what you have bought. I figured if this one stands me at less than 600 when completed it will be money well spent as I know everything is spot-on. I have known the previous owner since he bought it from new. He has never looked after anything he has owned but saying that its hardly been used and only in fresh water. The engine is mint with only 3 small scabs and still looks like new. I know he used to run it in very shallow water hence the pump damage, and a few scrapes on the hull but other than that I feel it will turn out to be a great machine. Just a little more tlc and its play time lol.

stator pic Looks terrible in the picture. Looks alot better face to face
