    Cleaning inter cooler

Hey guys my ultra 250 has a little over 200 hours I pulled the inter cooler it looks pretty clean but the bottom 2-3" is a little gummy. What's the best way to clean it. Thanks

Gasoline slosh seems to work well.

She's gotta have that Spanish Blood in her. Those Latino's sure got that sizable "bootie"...

I just returned from working on some Antennas in the US Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico - and there was dis-proportioned "bootie" everywhere...

To keep in the main-stream content of the Post, I used Mineral Spirits - one gallon bought from Home Depot, then rinsed it with some Simple Green + H2O.

    Good Luck !!!

I'm glad I pulled it out. After seeing some pics on the forum of inter coolers clogged I was worried. Mine hasn't been out since 80 hours. I will be doing it more often now. Shoulda joined this forum when I first got my ski. I defiantly recommend to anyone who hasn't cleaned out the inter cooler to do so. That's the main reason I started this thread it hasn't been talked about for a little

Ya my avatar has talent. Haha. Or should I say dis-proportioned booty. I like that

Would you mind posting some pics of your cleaning process? I just picked up a couple 250's that'll need it eventually and I've never done it.

    Thanks,
    Drew

easy remove i/c pour in gasoline slosh around pour out repeat process until gas is clean, stand on end in sun and dry out surely you dont need pics for that!! can also finish off the process using a hot pressure type cleaner this heats the i/c and aids in drying out

Gotcha. I envisioned somehow opening it up and wiping down the insides.

I would probably start from the 1st page and read whatever is applicable for you - accordingly.

    Good Luck !!!
