    Installing velocity stack problem

Hey everyone ... Me and a buddy installed velocity stacks on his 04 Yamaha fx ho cruiser.. The bypass motor seams to really be interfering with putting the cover back on... Anyone else have this problem?

You have to relocate the bolt hole for the bypass motor. The instructions are on the Riva site if you do not have them.

we did remove the stock mounting bracket for the motor and used the template supplied and drilled new holes... its still hitting on the top of the motor against the top of the cover.. if he cut the holes wrong and we had to remove the motor and lower down the motor some.. would it be bad to have a couple holes in the intake ?

No it will be fine. Some guy's don't even run air filters. Because of the humidity and the water the air filters never usually even require replacement. If it bothers him he could put some JB Weld on the holes or fill them in with rivets.

i no longer have the instructions and i cannot find them on rivas site, but those two blue washers that are provided with the set.. are those used for the bypass motor? i almost feel like those are used as spacers for the motor?
