    SL750 with 44's from 785 pro

Hey guys, can you help me out with jetting with carbs from a 2000 slx785? They are going on my unported '94 sl750. It has almost everything that can be put on. Lightened flywheel, 785 cdi, 785 coils, vforce reeds, reed spacers, '92 sl650 pipe, TDR waterbox, extended pump with stainless stator, 4 degree wedge, 12/17 prop and long ride plate. Thanks. With your help, I think I can get 60 mph out of this.

find a set of the psi triple pipes.stock porting will only turn about 6800 rpm,not enough to take advantage of the bigger carbs.with the pipes it should turn around 7200.so either go triple pipes or run the stock 38's with the chokes removed and some good f/a adapters that line up properly with the carb tops.somebody here i believe actually fabbed up some adapters to run 785 pipes on a 780,not sure how it turned out.probably had to dry out the pipes some as the 785 has the slide valves

Finally, thanks for an answer. I'd rather have porting done than triple pipe it. Who can be trusted with the port job? No 'clean up' here. I need 500 rpm. Thanks.

don't know if your gonna get 500 rpms with porting and a single pipe, the single pipe probably isn't going to make much power over 7000.stock 785 turns 7800 rpm.at that rpm you can use a carb that big, ever seen how fast a 785 can go thru a tank of gas??10 gallons in a hour no sweat.my pro1200 with triple pipes and 42mm carbs just be rec ridden would go about 2 hours.those 44's are gonna burn a lot of gas for no extra top end speed or hp,just some better acceleration.that light flywheel well gain you that.

I agree that those big carbs won't really do anything for you except waste some gas.

With everything you have listed you should be able to hit 55-56, is that 92 pipe the short or the long one? I was going to try one on mine, but have never heard of anyone who has actually tried it & relayed the results.

It is the short pipe. And I too hate dead threads.
Anyone on here got their Fuji ported? How was it? Since Randy is out of the game(he really knew these engines), I wonder if the Polaris Snomo guys will know what to do.
