    William “Bill” Bartleet
    March 2, 1959 - February 27, 2013

Bill was raised in Torrance, CA and has spent the last 20 years living in Oceanside. He is survived by wife Anita, sons Nicholas, Alexander, and Zachary, mother Darlene Bowen, brothers Ron and Dan, sister Joni and many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends throughout the world.

During his lifetime Bill worked as a plumber, a machinist, and an automation engineer where he proudly had his name on multiple company patents. Bill spent his free time enjoying family and friends, and was active in the personal watercraft community as a rider, carburetor builder, friend and mentor.

Memorial services will be held Friday 3/22 at 3:30PM in Oceanside at the El Camino Country Club.

I was not aware that Bill had passed until just recently. I have not been active on the forum for quite a while due to health issues and other distractions. I just want to send my thoughts and prayers out to all his family and friends. I know he will surely be missed. Bill helped me a lot over the last few years. We started out on the wrong foot when I first joined the hulk and we got into a pissing contest (I lost). Low and behold that led to a great friendship that spanned a few years and we would always try to see each other at the LA Boat Show. This world was a better place with Bill in it and I am sure he is riding his SUVSHO up on that great lake in the clouds. Bill, I know your family loves you and misses you so much as well many people still stuck down here. I am sure you have already met my son Chad and told him all about how you helped me with my GPR Triple.
Bill..... I miss talking to you and I hope to see you in the next world. Peace to you and plenty of boost on the SHO.

    Happy Birthday Bill,

Today you would have been 58 years old, but now are stuck forever at 53.
Thinking of you today and always.
    'til we meet again

barley a day goes by while I'm at the shop where I have a passing thought of Bill....

pass the carb cleaner, pass the grease, pass the gas....
    -----------------------------------

    take my lessons...

live every day like the day after tomorrow you'll find out that you have 6 months to live ( and that's if you are a lucky one, imagine you ignored a little pain for a while and then find out you're going to be dead in a week. What would you do?)

This is a real deal for those of us 50+

    oh yeah f*(k cancer.

wear sunscreen sunglasses and a hat

skin cancer is the deadliest, yet easiest to avoid
