    07 RXP 215 Supercharger Question

I had me \y S/C rebuilt last season with a SBT kit and it didn't last. So I put an extra S/C on my ski that came off an 05 that we had upgraded. I am going to buy a new S/C for my 07 that is going to remain mostly stock. So my question is this, what model year should I order the S/C from? Does it make a difference? If I order one from 08 or newer am I better off? Yes I know its cheaper to send it out and have my old one rebuilt, but I can buy a new one for $650 so I would rather do that and have a spare S/C.

only costs about half that to have your supercharger rebuilt... everything except the SC impeller is replaced with new in the kit.. why spend the extra money on another one?
sent it to Jerry this time, He'll hook you up!

I want to keep the S/C I have for a spare since its still in decent shape. Just looking for info on getting one for a newer model year, something without the ceramic washers. Around $400 for a rebuild, or $650 for a new unit its worth the $250 to have a new factory unit.

I think the chargers sold now have metal washers. What you should is contact Jerry and he will guide you. You could buy a new one and sell the old one, thus costing you less than a rebuild.

Yes I know the rebuild kit uses metal washers. I have gone the rebuild rout already once. Used an SBT kit and not impressed...

The SBT washers are different than the SeaDoo washers. That's probably why it was off on performance. All of the newer chargers should have metal washers in them. So really any year should work. I don't blame you for wanting a new part. For what we pay for these skis, it sucks when a rebuilt part fails and puts you out of commission during riding season.
