    Help removing head!

OK I'm taking my 2002 Seadoo GTX 4-tec motor apart and I want to remove the head. I took the two small bolts by the timing chain off, took the cam gear and chain off, and I was able to get all but one big head bolt off. Those things are the hardest bolts to get out I've ever had to deal with. They are absolutely ridiculous! I tried using a 21" breaker bar and can't get it to budge. I've tried a 700psi 1/2" impact and it broke my 1/2 to 3/8 adapter! It still didn't budge... So now I'm at a bit of a loss. How the hell do I get this bolt out? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Just placed an order for one. I will report back after it gets here! In the meantime, I think I'll go ahead and take the motor out with the head attached.

it's probably easier to remove that bolt while it's still in the ski. I didn't have too much trouble getting my head bolts off

I'll try putting the bolts in around it and tightening them. My 1/2 drive socket will be here Tuesday so I'll try again then. It may take me that long to get the circlip out of the driveshaft anyway.

...the torch idea did cross my mind...

if you take the money that you would spend on someone else fixing your stuff and buy your own tools you will be so much further ahead.check out how to remove the circlip with the socket trick.i myself just bought the proper tool.so much less of a pain in the ass to do the job.thanx richard.

I have a fairly good tool collection and I am doing this myself rather than paying someone. I removed the circlip in about 5 minutes by using a ratcheting tiedown strap. I wrapped it around the collar and then around the tow bar. A few ratchets and I just popped the circlip off and released tiedown. Worked great. I also got the head bolt out by using a 36" long 1/2 inch ratchet with a pivoting head. Now time to pull the motor out and get to tearing it down.
