    Question ECU Flash, intake and exhaust.. What power and speed will i expect?

    Hi all, new to the site.

    There's a tone of info on performance work to jet ski's on here, ive been serching the forum but can't find any figures on the mods i plan on doing.

    Hope you dont mind me starting a new thread on this..

    Ok so I've just bought a fx sho 2013 and its going in for a 10hr service on monday.

    When i get it back I'm planing on doing some mods:

    * Intake ribbon delete.
    * Hi performance intake and filter.
    * Free flow exhuast.
    * V-Tech SHO/FZ Stage 1 Tuning with 8450 Rev Limiter.
    * Maybe a prop if needed?

    Just the flash will bring the HP from 207hp to 240-250HP pretty big jump.

    I know people are going to say why not do this and why not do that but this is what i'm thinking of doing.

    Now my question is has anyone done these mods and know the out come:

    * Speed.
    * Economy.
    * Hole shot.

    Thanks in advance..

    Prop is definite must as you will be all over the limiter
    Speed wise you should be about mid-high 70's, economy will be more cause you'll be full throttle more often
    and holeshot will depend what pitch your prop will be at

    DON'T DO A STAGE 1.........you have no room to grow......Get a STAGE 2 or 3.......... if you plan on staying with stock,C1,B1 wheels then VTECH 2 will work great.......if in future you plan on running C3,ET Lowboost,ET 15.5,E1 wheel then VTECH 3 is what you will want to get

    with C1 wheel I ran 76.7 with Vtech 2
    with stock wheel I ran 73.6 with Vtech 2

    with ribbon, intake, exhaust I ran 70.2 Stock ECU 7600 rpms

    Fuel economy will go from 5.5mpg to 6.6mpg at a average Rpm of 6500 rpm......you should be able to get 100 miles out of your tank at cruising speed 6500 rpm with a few gal to spare

    you will need to have your stock prop repitched to 12/22 or buy a skat and do 13/22.

    12/22 worked great for the ski.....little cavitation out hole 13/22 might work better

    Yea like Rick said allow your self a lil growing room, especially with a reflash. Cause I'm sure down the road u will Sony more, as everyone does. Once the itch hits you, u will be a addicted greenhulker like everyone else on here. But I would atleast go with a stage 2. Yes I would also look for a prop to if u r looking for decent holeshot and top end get the skat swirl but if u won't to sacrifice a lil on the bottom for a lil more topend get the solas dynafly

    Why is the prop a must if he's increasing the rev limiter to 8450 and only adding an air intake, ribbon delete, and free flow exhaust? He's certainly not gaining 700 RPM from those mods.

    As soon as he does these he will be cavitating on take off. Your thinking is correct though he will not be hitting the rev limiter so the trailing edge will most likely not have to be changed.

    I didn't say it wouldn't cavitate, but the statement about being all over the rev limiter with those mods and an ecu with an 8450 rev limit is incorrect. Maybe flipsfzr misread the original post.

    You can use a stock impeller with a reflash i do them all the time i just repitch them. Actually they work awesome.
