The L-collar on the new rebuild kits isnt as long as the older ones, and along with the new clutches which are a tad bit thinner,it make it harder to get the higher slips, you will need McMaster Carr washers and try to set them up like this ))(()]nut...if you need a shim put it in like this ))I(()]nut...unfortionatly it takes a bit more "playing around" with them now to get the higher slips...

you will have to do a little playing around with the spring washer setup/combo,BUT yes,you should be able to reach that kinda slip...

Slasher and myself were playing with my ET 137x4mm yesterday. New McMaster washers we could only get 12ft/lb. Put stock spring washers back in, got it up to 14.4 ft/lb. I am thinking the new McMasters seem a bit hit and miss? Anyone else find this? We used same washer formation as above...

I rebuilt my ET 68-140. Ordered 2 sets of McMaster spring washers from the on line store. Tried every conceivable combination possible (I believe there are 7) Ended up using 3 shims and sanding the L-Collar a little in order to obtain 16.5 lbs of slip.
