***Faulty instructions for RIVA VXR/VXS Power Filter Kit***
Just a heads-up to anyone about to install RIVA's VXR/VXS Power Filter Kit to their WaveRunner:
On page 3 they say before replacing the inner liner of the hood to apply Blue Loctite to the screws. Being a newbie to the WaveRunner modification scene, I trusted and followed their directions. Big mistake! Turns out you're only supposed to use Blue Loctite on metal fasteners. The hood fasteners are all made of plastic and the Loctite literally ate through the plastic (see photos) and ruined my hood. I contacted RIVA about this and hopefully they'll put a disclaimer in their instructions (and reimburse me the cost of a new hood). It may be common knowledge not to use Loctite on plastic, but instructions should be written for people like me.

Just an update: Talked with Bubba from RIVA today and got everything straightened out--he replaced the damaged parts free of charge and also revised the installation instructions. He was very kind to me through the whole process. Awesome customer service!

Nice! I wouldn't expect anything less from RIVA. A+ for them in my book!

Good news! Companies make mistakes and its not big deal if they correct them properly!
