    Honda F12X air intake MOD

    Hi Guys

I was wondering will it help with heat soak if the intake to the engine came directly from the 2 front air intakes. I will use the standard air box and filter. Iíll modify the standard air box a little bit. Any suggestions?

like run the intake to where its pullin air strait from outside? Id be careful considering water ingestion is not cool...... Just re-route it to the front of the hull away from the motor but higher up in the hull to keep away from water!

That is not recommended! A good slug of water can damage the turbo. $$$ repair.

Thanks Mac/Boost I’ll take them out the intake pipes and put them high inside the hull.

being open loop, the honda runs much cooler than other craft and does not even have a water thermostat! Heat soak is a result of the intercooler and turbo heat soaking, not so much the inside of the hull.

The best heat fix I did to my ski was doing g a strait exhaust. It cut in hull temps in half temps were 120-130 now they r within degrees of outside temps .
The big problem with this is having h2o make one timely ....
Also need to be careful not to flip ski or water could get to turbo .
The sound is awesome but is annoying at times ...
One could insulate the water box really good this would probably give compatible results if done correctly .
