shimming to prevent bounce with modded vx plate

ive done alot of research trying to get my modded vx plate dialed in shimmed the back and front several different ways and i still get a decent amount of bounce the ski is only running low 70s with minor boltons at this point i no with more speed it will get better i will be doing a couple things so hopefully the bounce will go away some..i just wanna see what some of the latest shimming methods are to get rid of some bounce maybe something i havent tried

What RPMs are you running? The reason I ask is because I used to run 7400 with a bounce, but then I repitched so my rpms went up to 7600 and the bounce was reduced. More HP = less bounce.

Hmm, typically one shim in the front and none in the back and there should be no bounce. If you want more handling you can add a single shim to the rear. Post up some pics of what the front looks like with the single shim in the front compared to the transom plate.

Seems like a lot, but it looks ok. Maybe Jim will post the thickness of the washers he uses. We typically use one up front and none in the back with the modded VX plate.

im not sure if i tried just shimming the front im also going to make the ski alittle faster so hopefully that helps i went with two washers up front to reduce some of the step def feel the handleing changed and didnt help much if any with bounce
