    What do you guys think about diamond honing on a gp1300r cylinder?

    Ok what do you guys think about a 05-08 Gp1300r diamond hone would you recommend it or not after installing new rings?

    why are you honing the cylinder. you talking a light cross hatching hone?

    I went thru this a few year ago, if install new rings and pistons carbide ball hone/stone hone will break glaze ,if your trying to set up clearance for pistons diamond hone only thing that will work

    If your piston is too tight you should send it back and get the size color coded to the cylinder. usually the red is the smaller diameter piston. One reason NOT to use the diamond hone is taking too much off the cylinder wall as you don't know how thick the nickisil coating is. also you would need a long blade diamond hone to put the cross hatch back in it too do it wright.
