    False Temp Light and buzzer

While riding in 52 degree water yeterday, I was riding at close to WOT and the temp light and buzzer came on. I shut my FZS down and sat for a few minutes, I started up and no issues. For about 4 miles I was riding close to WOT and Light w/buzzer came back on. Shut ski off. I waited about 20 seconds and restarted ski and no light or buzzer. I pulled code and had a 01 code. Pulled the thermostat out and it seems fine.

Any suggestions on what could be happening. 2012 FZS with 14hrs

Is it stock cooling? The Riva system removes the screen, I ran into the same issue. There was a pebble stuck in the pump between the ring and stator. It would not block flow until WOT and let enough flow when cruising. Had to pull pump apart to find... PITA!!! It was the last thing it would have been, messed with it for a month before finding it.

I had a similar issue that would only happen after WOT and it ended up being some crap from the lake partially (I'm assuming with the partially part) plugging the pump strainer.

Yes it is stock cooling. Did you get a code? I am only showing a 01. I will have to check that. Thanks for the response.

Did you by chance change to the riva water filter strainer in the pump? If so it may be installed backwards with the hole facing the rear which is backwards, the hole must face the front of the ski. Tommy Jordan
