    stag 1 rxpx 260

I have almost completed my install of the stage one kit on my rxpx
And all I am missing is the Scom.
I have considered the athena ecu and the vtech tunes however I fnd that it is way over my
Price range, that being said im left with the SCOM which I feel like I *should* order because I have spent money on the other things (such as the 4" intake and so on) .

    two questions.

    1. Riva says the scom can only be paired to one ecu and cluster. In the case of something happening to my cluster (like it did to on my older rxp. And I would replace it) would that mean the scom will no longer be compatible?
500 $ crunch for a cluster and 250 $ for the scom would definetly bite.

    2. Riva says there are *difficulties* when trying to get the scom to work with the ski when you have the bilge or depth finder installed. (I have BOTH installed). Does anyone know of what these issues are?

    Thanks again for the replies.
Im planning on tackling my older rxp and wake soon (4"intakes in the least). Maybe a stage 2 on my 06... need suggestions as I want something to keep up with the new ski.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

    Not going for rpms
But want to get the gps limit off in the least.

Also the R&D "boost box" explains how it unlocks the boost limit from 7 to 10psi. Which the riva doesnt mention a word about...

Because the engine *cuts off* power when reaching 67-68 mph.
Therefor taking off the gps limit will allow the ski to run at 70mph (if not more).
And I am not able to report back if its hitting the limit or now.. the water near the shore is still in solid form here. So it wont be until another two weeos or so until I can test it out. (Cannot launch the ski)

Read both threads multiple times over, the boost box removes the gps limit and boost limit as I understand. Scom only gps.
That being said. I understand that the rev limit stays in place.

These skis will gain speed by getting the limits off (boost and gps) . If I understood correctly, which makes sense as these limits are removed and they are hit before the rpm limit is.

IMO your wasting money on the scom, youll get 71 thats it, big WASTE and its mated so trash it is when you upgrade. Go vtech or athena. I dont know anything about the boost box but rev limit is still going to limit you around same speed. See if someone has a vtech around you. Buy tune and your set.

Going to give a second thought to the reflash. A 600 $ credit doesnt sound that bad when I think about it (scom is 250+shipping and so forth)(And you receive a better deal in the long run)
That being said, ill ask around if someone has it locally
Thanks again for all of the input.
