    What happened to this rule?

    - Green Hulk Forum rules -
    __________________________________________________ _______________________________
    -----THE GOLDEN RULE-----
Noone is to be permitted to sell parts commercially on this forum. This also includes solicitations to perform work commercially, or the selling of information packages.
Contact info to such goods/services will be deleted.

Im sorry it had to come to this, but i refuse to let the differences of two individuals divide this forum.

I personally think jerry should charge for people to advertise on this site!! Yes we all agree that people selling the "package" have a lot of time and money into there work...... so does jerry (maintaing this site) I think is only fair that people / busniess pay him to advertise on here! Any reputable busniess should have a website and it simple pay jerry/greenhulk to put a banner on HIS site that is a link to your web site and you can have your own little sub forum on that site so that you can controll what is said on there (and who is there) and jerry doesn t have to be bothered with it. It is only fair and is very common practice with companys that want to attract customers without stepping on others toes. Not saying anything negative about anyone but is it fair that you use jerry site to make ten of thousands of dollars and all he gets for all his hard work is a bunch of winny pm's and phone calls???? im sure companys like skat-trak, solas, r&d, garmin., ect. ect. would pay to advertise on this site! (I would if i was trying to sell something)

This is the only forum I know of that does not charge vendor fees. The Corvette Forum charges $300 per month. Different forum, different hobby, etc. I understand that. But I think some kind of fee is reasonable and would keep things on more stable ground.

Rules are rules, the sale should not have been permitted. Then there wouldn't be compaints about packages.

I dont really agree with the fee charging idea. There are people here that perform services and sell parts of the same nature and these guys never have any problems on here. I think the banning of all "package info" is the best way to handle it personally.

I do not agree I think if someone sole purpose is to make money they should pay to advertise!

I am not saying any one peson is doing it, If I was jim I would pay for an advertisment on here! Think about how many plates jim has and will sell thanks to this site! If this site dint exsit I never would have found jim for my plate! and im sure a lot of other can say the same thing! (Not trying to speak for you jim)

and if its a reasonable price i dont see why carl, jim, fernando, kerry, ben ect, ect, would not pay to advertise on here!!

for example there is someone trying to sell some aluminium oil caps for the gpr for X dollars if he ran a one month banner (say for $50) he could sell a ton of these! maybe mark them up a buck or 2 to pay for the banner, no biggie its part of doing busniess! or make a deal with jerry that for every cap you sell you will give him say $3?? sell 100 that 300 for greenhulk! Not trying to pick on anyone but the oil cap was the first thing that popped into my head!

I think you'll probably see a more strict following of that rule in the future.

If you ask me, information should be free, as in free beer. Jerry would have never gathered a following of sea doo owners on this forum if he charged everyone for everything he learned and sold it on a piece of paper. He grew this place by sharing the information he learned and then selling parts that helped people implement the speed gains.
