rpm's on a 2005 GTX SC SeaDoo brand new
w/16 hours on it, my speedo won't go higher than 52mph's, and the rpm's are at 7950 ? this doesn't seem right and the dealership doesn't know?
I had it serviced after the 10 hour break in period. ran great 60-64 top speed but I don't remember the rpm's now it won't go higher than 52mphs what happened?

The dealer probably over filled the oil. But your RPM are pretty normal. I would be careful relying on the speedo. Get a GPS and you will get a better idea of what is going on. By the way, what were your RPM before?

this is a 2005 GTX SC... should NOT be revving that high.
that ski should be planted between 7450 - 7650 RPMS...
how is the wear ring? This does not sound like oil issue bc the ski is badly over-revving. avoid running the ski at that kind of RPM, i don't even know why it's going up that high, it's not supposed to.
when you nail the throttle from a stand still, is she cavitating or hesitating?

Yeah i've got a few things done and i'm not even seeing those RPMs. I don't even think the ECU should let them got that high. Something sounds odd about all that.

By the RPM numbers I assumed this was the GTX Ltd. Don't they run the same RPM as the RXP?

GTX Limited has same RPM profile as the RXP/RXT...
the thread title says 2005 GTX SC... so i assumed it's the 185 HP Supercharged Seadoo...
let us know ne14fun so we can help you out
verify exact year and model HP engine, verify RPMS, and verify your speed, is is by the speedometer of GPS speed?
does the ski hesitate when you nail the throttle from a standstill? top speed is slow you mention, how is acceleration?
