Rideplate mod??...Anyone know how much I can safley cut on a OEM rideplate?

    Hey guys,

anyone mind sharing some ride plate modding info with me?!?! I have a CNC mill at work and If I had some info I would love to play around and find something that works well for my ski. But here's my problem. I have no clue how much I can or Can not remove from the plate.
Im wondering if anyone could measure there modded plate for me so I have some ruff numbers to go off of.

    i thinking the
    mounting bosses height
and thickness at end of plate. ( i think most of the oem modded plates have a small amount removed from the bottom center section.)

Any info will help! Thanks in advance guys!

(BTW. i am in no way looking to steal business from the ride plate gurus. I'm just looking for a fun project that gives me a reason to play with the CNC!!)

The plates are roughly 3/16" - .187 thick.

I'd recommend sending it to someone who knows what their doing.... like Jim's Performance.

Im in the same boat as well. We all are aware that the plates can be sent in but maybe some of us would like to try it ourselves.....the more i work on my ski the more i want to do it all myself.

If i mess it up in the process i could always grab a Riva plate lol.

No where close to that ridiculous number! It's under $200 for a closed loop mod.

A rotary scotchbright pad can be used to "buff" the plate.....front to back motion. If you're wanting more angle use a pump wedge.
