I would like to try...
installing a 2" spacer in the pump section like the newer GPRs have. (on a GP)

Yes do it..seriously.we can cut an impeller housing in half and then tig them back smooth out the insides and get extended bolts, then we would have to address the bolts for the main pump are to hold it up to the pump. I ll get started.........

that and what about the bigger hubbed high pressure pumps from the newer gpr's? Maybe a different bearing or 2

couldn't you then build that hub, up in diam., with epoxie??as for longer bolts... threaded rod would work fine with nylocks....

I suppose, or go with the TBM cone. Thing is that a gpr big hub pump with an appropriate prop would bring our drivelines into this century!

Why only 2"
My polaris has a 4" extenton and it kicks ass. Why not stack 2 wear rings? Seems like alot less work than cutting turning and welding. Custom fabbing a driveshaft is an issue wither way, right???

So then the issue is really the shaft length.. find out where the GPRXP guys are having their's made!!!... the back half of the housing could be bolted to say 1/4 aluminum plate, clearenced for the pump dia, with vertical gusetts, running up the back that are thru bolted to the 'transom'... (like a transom support on a boat)

What is the theory on the longer pump? What is it about a longer pump that can provide a benefit? I am just trying to educate myself on this. Thanks.

W/R ..I will try and find the pictures, I grafted a super jet 144mm impeller housing prop and shaft to my W/R 500 using an adapter plate I made...i am still trying to get you the BEST intake grate ever made for that little ski, the Jet Dynamics...it is a monster it keeps that ski glued, especially when you have a ported 701 with a pipe and dual 44's on it....

Hey JEFF, I have so many PLATES/GRATES for the WR'S now... have both their grate and plate .. I like the Ocean pro plate.. its got nice runner chanells and angled skegs... it lifts nice in the streight and holds in a turn (flat bottom slide)... still playing combos of stuff on em' too.. lol
