    rxpx nozzle on rxt help help help

    hi im buying bits for my 07 rxt to do the vts conversion, ive come accross a rxpx steering nozzle kit but the seller has informed me that isa different size to my standard one ive done a bit of reading that it will slow me down but improve hole shot. but does anybody know how much it will slow me down by ?

    07 rxt stage 1 kit with solas prop

    i do most of my riding in the sea where getting top end speed is a rareity

    thoiughts and info please !

    Not sure, but I am guessing you mean just the nozzle. The RXPX nozzle is a larger diameter and will give better hole shot, but less top end. Those of us that have/had RXPX's would change the stock nozzle to a RXP nozzle to get better top end. If you are looking for better hole shot I would say get it.

    Your stock nozzle is a 83mm nozzle,the one off the RXP-X is a 87 mm nozzle..The 87 will bring your RPMs up and give you better hole shot while the 83 will give you better top end with a tad bit lesser hole shot...

    thanks for the replys so are you saying the venturi is the same size as my rxt and the steering nozzle is 87mm ? how much mph am i likely to lose?

    Was your guestion for the steering nozzle or the venturi nozzle?
    There two seperate issues.
    Snow is talking about the venturi nozzle.

    sorry im not making myself clear im doing a vts conversion on my o7 rxt and i need a verturi, trim ring and nozzle off a rxp and ive seen a complete rxpx set up the seller says the venturi is 87mm will this effect my performance ? if so in what ways and by how much ?

    Yes it will affect your performance.

    I just installed an '09 RXP-X venturi on my '07 RXT (Installed VTS) and I didn't notice any loss of performance, but I also installed a Solas 14/17R impeller, stainless steel wear ring and R&D intake grate.

    Every RXT will now have VTS.

    Whats your top end speed ? Will have to check what size prop ive got on there I know it's a new one !
