    kawasaki ZXi 1100 CDI Box

    Just new here, Is a CDi box of a Kawasaki ZXi 900 interchangeable with a ZXi 1100 or not? Thx in Advance

    Welcome to GH, glad to have ya here!

    On the CDI's, No interchange between a 900 & 1100.

    Kawasaki 21119-3751 IGNITER is used on these models and components:
    1997 JH1100-A2 1100 ZXi IGNITION SYSTEM
    1998 JH1100-A3 1100 ZXi IGNITION SYSTEM
    1999 JH1100-A4 1100 ZXi IGNITION SYSTEM
    2000 JH1100-A5 1100 ZXi IGNITION SYSTEM
    2001 JH1100-A6 1100 Zxi IGNITION SYSTEM
    2002 JH1100-A7 1100 ZXi IGNITION SYSTEM
    2003 JH1100-A8 1100 ZXi IGNITION SYSTEM

    Kawasaki 21119-3747 IGNITER is used on these models and components:
    1997 JH900-A3 900 ZXi IGNITION SYSTEM
    1997 JT900-A1 900 STX IGNITION SYSTEM
    1998 JT900-A2 900 STX IGNITION SYSTEM

    Look around on ebay for a used one...might not be as expensive as you think.

    U can find eboxes for around 100/ 160 depending how clean don't pay the 300 some of these guys are trying to get as I've bought about 4 in the past mth for 150

    R u talking bout the complete box i.e. casing, tap fuses rectifier mains cable etc or just the cdi (black box)

    Complete. There's a 1100 cdi on pwc today for 50 shipped nt mine

    the cdi's all have different part numbers it seems..I need one for a 96 stx ( and ONLY the 96 model year will work)..discontinued of course and folks want me to pay $300+ on eb for one with "no returns" right.

    I'm guessing the ignition timing may be slightly different for each year
