    787 rfi one injector flooing, help please

    I have a 2001 gtx 787 rfi and the front, mag injector sprays a lot more gas than normal. I pulled the rail out and cranked the motor, the rear injector sprays normal but the front one sprays a lot more than normal. I put a container to spray in it and in few seconds it sprayed one ounce. I switched the injector plugs front with back one and the back one was spraying more. Anyone knows what this is, ecu maybe. Please help.

    So, nobody ever seen this? I am looking to change the ecu, I hope that's the problem.

    sounds like an mpem/ecu problem..no maint light on the console?

    I have a spare mpem..but I suspect it has a fault in it on the map sensor logic..I also have a fuel injector rail

    I assume you're hydro locking a cylinder based on that fuel flow?

    what's the symptom?

    Yes, if I have the plugs in it hidrolocks. This is what I did today: I opened the electrical box and the ecu enclosure and I found moisture inside, not so much on the board but a lot on the big connector terminals. I have it all apart now to dry and I will put it back together tomorrow. Fingers crossed, thank you for the reply, will keep you updated.

    I got it, the moisture inside the ecu housing was the culprit. Now it starts and runs fine.
